On August 2nd the Church of Our Lady in Amsterdam, Netherlands hosted the relic of St. Sharbel for the weekend. The weekend opened with veneration of the relic Friday afternoon. The Catholics of Amsterdam made their way into the parish for prayers throughout the day. In the evening, there was a short presentation of St. Sharbels life.
Saturday Vigil was offered by Fr. Raphael, after which he began individual blessings for all who requested it.
Sunday held four liturgies. A Syrian Orthodox liturgy at 9:00 AM, which began with morning prayers, followed by three Catholic Masses throughout the day. Many Orthodox and Catholics gathered in fellowship together to venerate the Relic of St. Sharbel. Fr. Antonious of the Orthodox congregation led morning prayers on Sunday morning.
